Carly had no idea this would become their unofficial engagement shoot. She simply thought we were capturing a few photos at Sunset Cliffs. With waves crashing against the rocks, the ocean glowing under the setting sun, and a landscape that looked almost unreal, we followed the two of them through one of the most beautiful backdrops San Diego has to offer.

They ran playfully across the cliffs, chased each other like kids, paused for intimate kisses, and soaked in the warm evening light. What Carly didn’t know: just a few days later, Juice would ask her to be his wife.

For this session, we focused on preserving authenticity. Soft browns, golden tones, and candid moments that felt true to who they are. A golden sunset, a love story on the edge of the ocean, and the beginning of a chapter Carly didn’t yet know was on its way.
